Lord Bledisloe Prize awarded to R.E. Munford, 1951

A Massey Agricultural College bookplate afixed to the front facing end paper of Bioenergetics and Growth:with special reference to the efficiency complex in domestic animals, by Samuel Brody (1945), indicates it was the Lord Bledisloe Prize for 1951, awarded to R.E. Munford.  Lord Bledisloe was the Governor-General of New Zealand,1930-1935, and had a strong interest in agriculture.  Ronald Eric (Ron) Munford worked at Massey from 1951 to 1993. He was Professor of Physiology and Head of the Department of Physiology and Anatomy for 23 years.  Emeritus Professor Munford passed away on October 9, 2004.
